San Francisco Asian Eyelid Surgery

Joseph A. Mele, MD, FACS, offers Asian eyelid surgery through his San Francisco East BAy Area, Walnut Creek, plastic surgery office. Typically, there is not a well-defined crease along the Asian eyelid, which can make it hard for make-up application. San Francisco Asian Eyelid Surgery professional Dr. Mele, can suture the eyelid to create a more distinct fold.

In order to rejuvenate and refresh your facial appearance, you may want to consider cosmetic eyelid surgery. Joseph A. Mele, MD, FACS, often performs eyelid surgery at his Walnut Creek and Concord Surgery Centers, to reduce the appearance of “tired-looking” eyes. If you are in need of facial rejuvenation due to sagging skin in the upper eyelids or bags in the lower eyelids, Dr. Mele can perform eyelid surgery (“blepharoplasty”).

Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty

As one ages, the delicate skin around the eyes begins to sag and wrinkle. In order to correct this, Dr. Mele offers several eyelid procedures including upper and lower eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty. During this type of surgery, Dr. Mele will remove excess fat and muscle from the upper eyelids, and if necessary, excise fatty tissue from the lower eyelids. The remaining skin is tightened, and the incision is carefully sutured. When performing blepharoplasty, Dr. Mele is often able to improve peripheral vision, enhance the appearance of the eyes and restore a more youthful look.
